The Flathead Valley

Kalispell first, then out through the valley.

The route is built around Kalispell and stretches into the surrounding towns as the schedule allows. One operator means the map moves with the season, so the honest answer about your road is the one you get on the phone.

A freshly mowed Flathead Valley lawn at golden hour, wide mowing stripes raking away toward the mountains.

Where he works

Four towns, four different sets of problems.

A valley this size does not have one climate or one kind of ground. What a Whitefish drive needs in January is not what a Kalispell one needs, and pretending otherwise is how a property gets the generic version.

A residential front lawn cut in bold alternating light and dark mower stripes.

Kalispell

Home base. The week is built around it, which makes a set day easiest to hold.

Whitefish

Higher and colder. Snow arrives earlier, stays longer, and drives climb.

Winter first Whitefish page →
A steel plow blade rolling a curl of snow off a cleared surface.

Columbia Falls

Canyon wind that drifts a cleared drive back in, and river ground that stays soft.

Wind and water Columbia Falls page →
A wide band of freshly cut grass with a crisp cut line running through it.

Bigfork

Hillside drives above the bay and properties that sit empty part of the year.

And the rest of it

Evergreen, Somers and Lakeside.

These sit inside the working area without needing a page of their own. Evergreen is effectively part of the Kalispell route. Somers and Lakeside run down the west shore and depend on what the schedule looks like that season.

Green season
April through October. Weekly mowing, trimming and edging, plus the cleanups at both ends.
White season
November through March. Driveways, walkways, steps and small commercial lots.
Same person
The one who mowed it in July is the one behind the blade in January, and he already knows where the sprinkler heads are.
The limit
One operator takes what he can finish all the way, every visit. If the list is full for a season, he says so.

Tell him where the property is.
